Bay colt by Nathaniel ex Sauvalanche (Redoute’s Choice)(Trainer: Ed Walker, Lambourn)
We bought this powerful, good-moving colt by the great sire, NATHANIEL, at Tattersalls October Yearling Sales . We thought this was great value and the Thoroughbred Daily News agreed, describing him as the ‘Buy of the Day”!
NATHANIEL has sired multiple Group winners, including the champion mare Enable who won two Prix de l’Arc de Triomphes and the 2022 Derby winner, Desert Crown. This year his daughter, Poptronic, bravely won the Group One Fillies’ & Mares’ Stakes on Champions Day at Ascot and his son, Quickthorn, comfortably won the prestigious Goodwood Cup.
This colt’s grand dam Turtle Bow was a very high-class Group winning mare in France over a mile. Our fellow has a great walk, is a good size with plenty of scope to keep improving as most NATHANIEL’s do. He is going to Ed Walker, who has had his best season ever in 2023. Ed is thrilled to be training him and said “I think he is a really exciting colt; he is strong, good looking, walks very well and could be anything”.
