PEUGEOT HURDLE GOES TO SCARPETA
Scarpeta ran out a comfortable winner at Clonmel taking advantage of being well in at the weights.
Despite some ponderous jumping he travelled well throughout the race and was shaken up after the second last hurdle. He quickly pulled away from the runner up and won by 8 lengths.
Jockey Paul Townend said ‘Scarpeta has a big engine and the sign of that was that he was still on the bridle turning in despite some of his jumping. He’ll come on for the run and he’s versatile’.
