ONLY EMILY

Our J&B Met Day Juvenile fillies winner, ONLY EMILY, was a game winner of the Novice Plate at Kenilworth this afternoon (Wednesday, 13th November) to justify her position as market leader. She travelled nicely throughout the race and although looking like she would run away with the race, found herself challenged for her position by the second and third but resolutely stayed on to win by a neck.

After the race, Only Emily was found to be coughing, a suggestion that she was not 100% during the race. This may explain why she had to work hard at the end of the race to get her head in front. The pollen count is currently very high in Cape Town which may have been a contributory factor. She will be given a little break now in preparation for some of the better races in the New Year.
