News on the Jumpers
With the flat season officially over, the Thurloe team are looking forward to the new Jumps season. Princely Player had his first run over the fences at the end of last week and unfortunately, when looking to come and win the race, slipped and fell at the last. He is absolutely fine and is back at home where his jumping will be practiced in preparation for his next run!
Vendor and Tante Sissi are both in light work and their trainer, Alan King, is very pleased with them. We hope that the problems Vendor suffered from last season are behind him and with the way he has been working at home, it seems that he is a much happier horse this season. Tante Sissi will be running over fences this season and the plan is to have her start off at Wincanton in a couple of weeks time.
Tony Star went to Cheltenham at the beginning of the season and managed to rub his hip bone on the way in the horse box. Unfortunately, he never looked happy throughout the race after this small injury and therefore we have given him some time off for it to heal. Nonetheless, Philip Hobbs has been very happy with him.
