It was thrilling to see Grumeti, a horse Thurloe bought as a yearling and had in training until the end of his three year old career, take the prestigious Betfred Cesarewitch at Newmarket. The half brother to Thurloes’ Scrutinise is now owned by the MacNeill Family who have had much success with Grumeti over the obstacles. He returned back to the flat this season and proved how game he is with a thrilling short head victory. Grumeti and Scrutinise both hold the honest and brave quality that is so longed for in a good racehorse. They have done their breeders, Catridge Farm Stud very proud.
