BALTIC KNIGHT
The ‘Knight’ was back to winning ways with a very convincing victory at Haydock Park. Baltic Knight looked fantastic before the race and it was fairly noticeable he was very fit and ready for action. It has been a frustrating summer for Baltic Knight as lack of rain has left him a non-runner for plenty of suitable races. The good ground at Haydock was perfect for Baltic and with his jockey, Sean Levey, adopting a strong, front-running position, Baltic looked very much in command. At the furlong pole he really ran away with the race, winning by a comfortable 1 and 3/4 lengths. It was thrilling to see Baltic win in such style, posting his fifth career victory to date.
The plan next is to head to Longchamp, on the Saturday of the Arc weekend (4th October) for the Group II Prix Daniel Wildenstein.
