ANGEL DOWN SCOOTS TO VICTORY
Angel Down was an impressive winner at Windsor on Sunday, taking the one mile handicap by a comfortable two lengths.
Angel Down went to Windsor to take on four older horses, all with good form which made it a competitive looking race. His jockey, Dane O’Neill, settled him just behind the pacesetters Highland Colori and Repercussion and when the latter went on three furlongs from home, Angel Down quickly came to challenge on his outside. It was obvious very soon that our fellow was going by far the best and when Dane asked him to quicken again he “put the race to bed” without much trouble and won in the end by an easy two lengths.
This was Angel Down’s second win at the track and takes Thurloe’s strike rate to 37%!
