Geos: Geos became a much-loved performer – and not just by connections. The French-bred enjoyed great success over timber and also became a classy chaser. In a lengthy career littered with victories, his stellar year was 2000 in which he enjoyed Grade 1 success in Kempton’s Christmas Hurdle after winning the first of two Tote Gold Trophies and the Bula Hurdle. He adapted well to the larger flights and in 2002 emerged victorious from the Grade 2 Castleford Chase before reverting to hurdles to edge out Rooster Booster in a memorable Tote Gold Trophy.
